At most locations where the RASWIN program is installed, a copy of
the most current RASWIN programs and other related files is stored on a
shared network drive so that each workstation running the program can
easily access a copy of the most up-to-date program via a synchronization
process that Quadrant will help you install on your systems.
When the synchronization process runs, it will include a step to document
the fact that it has run.
What actually happens is that the SYNCH process will include a step that
runs a small program that creates a simple text file with the date and time
of the last time the files were synchronized. When the RASWIN application is started
it checks for this file, reads the data from the file and inserts a record into
the Synchronization Log Table. Normally you will not have to view or edit any of
the data in this table .. it is there to assist Quadrant support in the event you
are having trouble with your updates.
