8 August-2018 - Version 1.0.5127
The following changes/fixes have been made during the last
month.
-
Searching for a trancode has been adjusted so that
you can now sort the results by clicking on the column title.
The search box at the top of the screen was gone for a while,
now it's back. Also, in addition to searching for the trancode,
description, and account number, the search function now also
includes the "Short Description" column from the trancodes table
(though it is not displayed on the screen).
-
In some recent releases of RASWIN once you entered a
TRANCODE on the line item entry screen, values related to that
TRANCODE were not properly clearing and you could not change the
trancode without exiting from the line item entry screen. This
has been corrected.
-
During table maintenance, not all data was being
converted to upper case as was previously done. Even though
RASWIN treats all data the same (upper or lower case) it was
"visually distracting" when it did not to convert to upper case.
This has been corrected.
-
A new setting has been implemented for report titles.
This allows you to use different titles on reports than the
location name from the license table. The setting will
automatically be created using the LOCATION-NAME field from the,
license table and is linked to each individual register. For
example if your, license table indicates CITY OF TIMBUCKTWO , on
register 001, the program will, create a report user entry in
the MISCPARMS table with a key value of 001-REPORT-USER-NAME , and a
text value of CITY OF
TIMBUCKTWO . You can then change the title to a
value such as , CITY OF TIMBUCKTWO -
FINANCE
DEPARTMENT , .
If you have other workstations in others departments, you
could edit their automatically created entries such as,
002-REPORT-USER-NAME ,
CITY OF TIMBUCKTWO - BUILDING
DEPT .
003-REPORT-USER-NAME ,
CITY OF TIMBUCKTWO - RECREATION
DEPT .
This value will print at the top of reports such as the
CASH RECAP REPORT.
-
There were a few screens where the small "f" (font)
button in the lower left corner of the screen was not behaving
as intended, in particular the those that have a security level
that is above the level of the cashier doing the maintenance
function. This is used primarily to "hide" table that are not
relevant to your local setup (e.g, tables related to custom
interfaces and setups, those that are used for internal
processing functions and require no manual adjustment, etc.).
To "hide" a table, just set its SECURITY LEVEL to 999999
(six nines). Since the maxium security level any cashier can be
is 99999 (five nines), any table above that level will not show
on the maintenance screen. This can greatly reduce the number of
tables you see, usually to a single screen's worth.
-
On the START OF DAY screen, the
command buttons have been adjusted so that they will fully
display (even if the font is very large) by automatically sizing
and spacing themselves to fit the text that needs to be
displayed.
