2024 2023 2022 2021 2020 2019 2018 2017 2016 2015 2014

1.0.5996 2025-09-10 12:00

19-Dec-2018 14:01

  1. The 'Save as Excel' option on the EXPORT TABLE DATA screen has been changed to make the process MUCH faster.

There was an earlier restriction that prevented selecting this option when more that one table was selected for export, primarilty due to the speed factor. This restriction has been removed.

All the export files are placed in the  C:\programdata\quadrant\export directory.

The XLS files will include the column names on the first line, and the file name will be named in such a way that your location name, the table name, and the date and time of creation will be incorporated into the file name.
  2. A previous release created an error on the formatting of the account numbers in the files created for export to your host system (via the Main Menu⇒File⇒Create Upload File menu option). The error was that any duplicate spaces were removed from the account number field[s]. This has been corrected so that if your account numbers contain more than one contiguous space, they will remain that way in the export file.

  1. A small change to the cash recap report has been made. This will allow you to check a box near the top of the screen to inidate that you only want to run it for a single day.

When this box is checked, the screen will automatically adjust and remove the option to enter the second date value.

Also, the option to select AND or OR will appear only when both the Accounting Date AND the Calendar Date options are checked. This short video demonstrates the interactions between the various checkboxes.

  1. The EXPORT TABLE DATA option has been adjusted so that we no longer rely in, the external 7Zip (open source) program to zip up the tables after the export is completed. The entire zipping process is now internal to the RASWIN application and will place the contents of the
     C:\PROGRAMDATA\QUADRANT\LOGFILES ,
     C:\PROGRAMDATA\QUADRANT\IMPORTS ,
     C:\PROGRAMDATA\QUADRANT\EXPORT , and
C:\PROGRAMDATA\QUADRANT\REPORTS  directories into zip files in the
     C:\PROGRAMDATA\QUADRANT
    directory.

The SEND option has also been improved and the appropriate USER ID and PASSWORD is used to access the uploads area of our new web hosting service, which was changed in late August. Assuming your users have access to FTP functions via your network, the program will upload the zip files. Please note that we currently get no notice of files being deposited to this directory, but we are working on an method to notify us that new files are discovered.
  2. When you EXIT the RASWIN program it performs a few cleanup steps to purge certain log data that is so old it no longer serves any useful purpose., This will not take long.

Also, a new feature has been added to clean up the LOGFILES directory by zipping up files from prior years and storing them in a new directory called,
     C:\PROGRAMDATA\QUADRANT\LOGFILES\OLDFILES .

This will search for any files in the
C:\PROGRAMDATA\QUADRANT\LOGFILES  directory have a naming pattern that matches,
*LOGFILE*yyyy*.TXT , where the  yyyy  is replaced by the year.,

If matching files are found, they are placed in a zip file in the  OLDFILES , directory. It will have a name such as
     [location_name]_REG(001)_OLD_LOG_FILES_yyyy_CREATED_yyyymmdd_hhmmss.ZIP
If no matching files are found, a zip file will not be created. If a zip file is created, because files were found, the old matching files in the  LOGFILES  directory will be deleted. The files will have a password (lower case) that matches the location name prefix of the zipfile, e.g., if the file was named
     TIMUCKTWO_REG(001)_OLD_LOG_FILES_2014_CREATED_20180911_103033.ZIP
the password will be 'timbucktwo' (lowercase)

8 August-2018 - Version 1.0.5127

The following changes/fixes have been made during the last month.
  1. Searching for a trancode has been adjusted so that you can now sort the results by clicking on the column title. The search box at the top of the screen was gone for a while, now it's back. Also, in addition to searching for the trancode, description, and account number, the search function now also includes the "Short Description" column from the trancodes table (though it is not displayed on the screen).
  2. In some recent releases of RASWIN once you entered a TRANCODE on the line item entry screen, values related to that TRANCODE were not properly clearing and you could not change the trancode without exiting from the line item entry screen. This has been corrected.
  3. During table maintenance, not all data was being converted to upper case as was previously done. Even though RASWIN treats all data the same (upper or lower case) it was "visually distracting" when it did not to convert to upper case. This has been corrected.
  4. A new setting has been implemented for report titles. This allows you to use different titles on reports than the location name from the license table. The setting will automatically be created using the LOCATION-NAME field from the, license table and is linked to each individual register. For example if your, license table indicates  CITY OF TIMBUCKTWO , on register 001, the program will, create a report user entry in the MISCPARMS table with a key value of  001-REPORT-USER-NAME , and a text value of  CITY OF TIMBUCKTWO . You can then change the title to a value such as ,  CITY OF TIMBUCKTWO - FINANCE DEPARTMENT , .

If you have other workstations in others departments, you could edit their automatically created entries such as,

     002-REPORT-USER-NAME ,  CITY OF TIMBUCKTWO - BUILDING DEPT .

     003-REPORT-USER-NAME ,  CITY OF TIMBUCKTWO - RECREATION DEPT .

This value will print at the top of reports such as the CASH RECAP REPORT.
  5. There were a few screens where the small "f" (font) button in the lower left corner of the screen was not behaving as intended, in particular the those that have a security level that is above the level of the cashier doing the maintenance function. This is used primarily to "hide" table that are not relevant to your local setup (e.g, tables related to custom interfaces and setups, those that are used for internal processing functions and require no manual adjustment, etc.).

To "hide" a table, just set its SECURITY LEVEL to 999999 (six nines). Since the maxium security level any cashier can be is 99999 (five nines), any table above that level will not show on the maintenance screen. This can greatly reduce the number of tables you see, usually to a single screen's worth.
  6. On the START OF DAY screen, the command buttons have been adjusted so that they will fully display (even if the font is very large) by automatically sizing and spacing themselves to fit the text that needs to be displayed.
