The RECEIPT ACCOUNTING SYSTEM FOR WINDOWS (RASWIN) controls the collection of payments in a variety of public sector and government environments. The system consists of a personal computer (PC), document printers, computer controlled cash drawer(s), OCR or barcode scanning equipment, and specially developed software that work together to do receipt accounting operations in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Examples of RASWIN use include court fees and fines collection, business licenses, building permit fees, utility and tax payment processing, parks and recreation registrations, and many others. Wherever cash or other forms of payment are tendered by the public RASWIN provides the following benefits:
✰ Detailed receipt documenting the transaction.
✰ Validation of documents, such as filing papers in a court case or real estate filings.
✰ Computerized accounting of all transactions processed.
✰ Summary and detail reporting of all transactions processed.
✰ Automatic splitting of collected funds into multiple accounts with detail and summary reporting of the results.
✰ Security controlled access to cash drawer functions.
✰ Standard reports that meet most routine requirements. Custom reporting is available from Quadrant Systems, if needed. In addition, the system data can be easily transferred to standard spreadsheet and reporting software for further analysis and reporting.
✰ Table-oriented design enables tailoring the system to your requirements without reprogramming.
✰ The ability to extract transaction data from the system database and send it to other networked systems for additional processing or long-term storage.
The manual is divided into several sections.
This is all that most users will have to know in order
to effectively use the RASWIN in day-to-day
operations.
The remaining sections provide additional explanations
for Table Maintenance Functions,
and other special features used to set up and maintain the system. Most
of these functions will be used only by the supervisor who is
responsible for management of the system.
